Bax Help

Configuration process
After successful installation completed, run Bax.exe. The first window (as shown below) will prompt you for information.
Note that the administrator must have created a user name to be able to use the fax server. 

Ask your network administrator for the details concerning the Server IP :
Login: name that he/her has made for you
Password:
The 'Email' address box is optional. If you want to have email notification for the status of the faxes that you have sent.
Check the 'Auto Login' box if you don't want to be prompt for your Login name and password every time you send a fax.
Click OK

This will bring you to the main Bax window as shown below.

Click 'SendFax', the following window will appear.

SendFax

Two methods are possible for sending faxes.
1: Open the wanted file with your favorite program.
select File/print
In the printing dialog box select the fax device and click OK. This will bring you the above window and the file that is to be faxed will appear in the File(s) box.
Enter the appropriate phone number  or select one from your phone book and click 'Send', Bax will take care of the rest.

2: Run Bax, authenticate yourself and click 'SendFax'.
Click 'Add File', select the wanted file.
Enter the appropriate phone number  or select one from your phone book and click 'Send', Bax will take care of the rest.

Multiple files can be add, they will all be faxed to the same phone number.

Delete a File from the list.
To remove a file from the list.
Click on the unwanted file, this will highlight it, then click 'Del File'

Options

Cover Page
A cover page may be selected here. This page will be sent with the file appearing in the File(s) window. Click the 'Clear' button to remove it.
Default: none

Cover pages can be created to suit your needs. Open your favorite program and create whatever cover page you wish.
When done, press CRTL+P, the following window will appear.

Select the Fax Server (or what ever you named bax) in the printer box and make sure that the 'Print to File' is checked.
Click OK, you will be prompt for the name you want to give for this file and where you want to create it.
Remember the name of the file and its path.

Clear
'Clear' button will eliminate the cover page file.
Default: none

Confirm by email
Will send that status of the fax(es) you send.
Select this option if you want to be notified by email.
Default: no

Max Retries
Will try to send the fax for a maximum of retries.
Default: 3

Priority
Sets the priority of your fax.
A lower digit set a higher priority.
ie: a priority of 107 will be sent before 117.
Default: 127

Paper Size
Sets the paper width and length.
Depending in which country you are the paper size standers may vary.
Defaults to 'North A. Letter'

Resolution
Sets the number of dots per inch.
Default: 196

Keep as Defaults
Once you have selected all of what suits your needs, you may click 'Keep as Defaults'. This will set the same options to every fax you send. Cover page included.

Scheduler
To set a future time and date for your fax, click the 'Use Scheduler' option box on the send fax window. The Scheduler button will then be available.

Set the time and date at which you wish that your fax will be sent. The scheduler may be set to a maximum of 1 year in the future.

The time and date set to the fax may be modified if wished, see 'Alter a fax'
