Bax Configuration File

Configuration process
Run Bax.exe. The first window (as shown below) will prompt you for information, click 'Cancel'.

This will bring you to the main Bax window as shown below.

Click the 'Admin' button. The following window will appear.
By clicking on any button, you will be prompt for the IP address that you want to connect to and the password.

Fill in the required fields. The default IP address is 192.168.1.168 and the default password is baraka
NOTE that the password is case sensitive. If you cannot connect to the device please refer to the FAQ page.

The program will upload the needed files and install them.
The last step is to configure a modem on your device. As shown below. Click OK

It will be followed by a dos window asking you different details for your modem(s) connected to your device.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

If you have no idea what answer just press the enter key.
In most cases the default values will be fine.
Make sure that you answer correctly to the questions concerning your company, name, phone number and so on.

Concerning the com ports on which your modems will connected to. If it's an external modem the port will either be ttyS0 or ttyS1.
If it's an internal modem the port will start at ttyS2 and higher.

NOTE: Linux is case sensitive.

If you want to use internal modems, make sure that they can run properly under Dos. If so, it is likely that it/they should work on Linux.

NOTE: Do not use winmodems nor Linmodems, they simply do not work.

At the end of the script you must click the Apply button then Click 'Done'

Congratulations, your device all set to send faxes.

For security reasons, you will need to add authorized users to the Bax list. Please refer to 'Add users' to do so.
